Juegos y Dados – Welcome Rachel, it is a pleasure that you are here with us. I must tell you that I am a fan of H.P. Lovecraft so I love your book “What to Do When You Meet Cthulhu: A Guide to Surviving the Cthulhu Mythos”.
Rachel – Thank you! It’s a pleasure to be here and speak on one of my favourite subjects.
Juegos y Dados – Are you a fan of H.P. Lovecraft’s Stories? Could you explain us the story?
Rachel – I am indeed a fan of H.P. Lovecraft, as well as of many other authors who have expanded the Mythos.
Juegos y Dados – Why A Guide to Surviving the Cthulhu Mythos?
Rachel – I thought that there were many people out there who had heard about the Mythos but were not necessarily familiar with its origins or some of the more specific detail. Trying to familiarize yourself with all of the Lovecraft stories can sometimes be difficult, so I wanted to provide a quick and easy guide that would help people out. Since Cthulhu will eventually bring about the end of the world, it seemed not only natural, but necessary, that I do that in the form of a survival guide.
Juegos y Dados – I have recommended to my role-players readers to read your book. Do you play role-playing games? It looks like for your recommendations.
Rachel – Yes, I grew up playing role-playing games, and eventually found myself preferring Call of Cthulhu. The role-playing system is simple and intuitive, and the setting provides a compelling and entertaining background.
Juegos y Dados – I have recommended to my boardgame -players readers to read your book. Do you play board games?
Rachel – I do play board games as well. My favourite type would be co-operative games such as Arkham Horror. As with role-playing games, one of the great things about board games is how they bring people together, and solving problems together to achieve victory in a board game can be very fun and rewarding.
Juegos y Dados – Do you think writing any new similar book in the future? Could give us any details?
Rachel – I have often thought about it. Of course, now that the world is prepared to defend against the great Cthulhu, I’m not sure there’s a better subject to tackle! If you learn how to survive the Mythos, you’re pretty much prepared to take on anything.
Juegos y Dados – Thank you for your time. We are very happy for your collaboration in this interview with Juegos y Dados.
Rachel – No problem! Thank you for interviewing me!
